No Preeclampsia signs in sight! That is all...

Loving Lyla

Many of you know of one of my very best friend Amelia and her daughter Lyla. Amelia and I met at a share group. (a group for child loss) We learned our daughters (Brenna and Cara) we born just a week apart. Together we went through the heart wrenching journey. Carter is my rainbow and Lyla is hers. Carter and Lyla are 7 weeks apart. Lyla was born with a fused skull and has already in her two short years of life endured many surgeries.

I created a fan page for Lyla so we can keep up with her milestones and surgeries. She is about to endure another skull surgery. We are hosting an event where anyone can send hats. headbands and hairbows to the Hendryx family to help Lyla feel beautiful because her head will need to be shaved.

Please chick HERE  to view and or participate in Lyla's journey!

Spinning

My head is spinning lately! We are touring different facilities to enroll Carter in a 2 years old preschool type class. We have found one that has come HIGHLY recommended with a pretty little price tag to go along with it! It is only one day a week and by the time we register him he will be 2.5. So he will have a year of that! I think it will be so great for his socialization. Carter has no siblings (yet) no cousins and is hardly ever around kids. In the beginning of my pregnancy I was pretty sick. I pretty much liad on the couch from November- February. That was not great for Carter, but I did what I did just to make it through the day. This has been the hardest pregnancy on me yet, with the sickness all day for the first 17 weeks and the 4x weekly headaches that soon followed. I did what I could.

That being said we are excited to have him also enrolled in a Gymboree class with Daddy on Saturdays! It will be great bonding time! We are also on a wait list for a private swim school. One of the MOST important things you can teach your children is how to swim...it can be life saving. Carter LOVES the water so we are really encouraging that! IF I can get signed up anywhere. I am wait listed it seems for whatever I see to try to sign him up for! I never realized that everyone must enroll their children the exact day enrollment opens!

That opens me up to Preeschool. Carter will attend preschool in the 2014-2015 calendar year. So far away right? WRONG! Registration for that begins THIS FALL! So here I am literally scrambling to do all my research. I spent about 6 hours TOTAL this past two weeks, researching, emailing, calling etc. I have so far narrowed it down to four schools we will be touring. All the way from park district to private! I want to keep my options open!

So here I am almost 8 months pregnant, with a spinning head on Preeschools! Its crazy! Who would have thought you have to start all of this mumbo jumbo so early!

I am so thankful I am able to be home with my children 4 days a week. It is HARD ENOUGH being away from them the three days I am. Just for simple things like "When Carter starts preschool on Wednesdays which is a day I work, who the heck would pick him up and drop him off?" Small things. I dont know how some parents do it. I do know why SO MANY stay at home. For me I love my job and could never leave my work family or my clients who have become family, but man its hard!

Carter starts speech therapy on Fridays one day a week. I can't wait for that to begin!

I will leave you with some pictures of my Handsome man, my wonderful dog and Emery's closet getting all ready!
