22 weeks!

 

Hello 22 weeks! So far I have gained 17 lbs and my blood pressure is normal! No protein in my urine! Woo hoo! My headaches are still here at least three or four a week. Ugh! For someone who does not get headaches this is a buzz kill. Boo. 

We have FINISHED! Emery's closet!  There is a whole other wall but I will post pictures of that later its just shelving, laundry bin and rods...nothing hanging yet! 

Alot of you are probably wondering why Emery? Why not a C name? It is pretty much about as simple as we did not fall in love with any C names. We toyed with Chloe and Cleo and decided Chloe was far too popular and Cleo was just ok. So that was that. I soon after fell in love with Avery and Kyle fell in love with Emma. Combining them is Emery! It happens to be a old German name that means powerful. Powerful she will be. Carter even says Em! I am NOT a fan of shortening names or doing the nick name thing, but I am assuming big brother Carter will be calling her Em. 

 

Carter got a new haircut and I think he looks pretty awesome!

As for what I am up to besides finishing up Emery's room and TONS of doctors appointments AND working three days a week. I updated my kitchen which I love! We also replaced our cream 8x10 rug (I know I know...cream?! what were we thinking...we were not.) with a Purple ombre Calvin Klein homegoods find! Love!!

Name Reveal

20 week update!

I am 20 weeks pregnant yay! (Well Friday I will be its only Monday but hey already had my big scan today!)

Baby is measuring in the 49 percentile and weighs in at 10 oz. I have gained 15 pounds so far. Bloodpressure was higher 132/90 when I came in the office but so was my heart rate 131. (I was anxious) so by the end of the appointment I had 121/76 heart rate 96. MUCH better!

My MFM and I did discuss that I can opt for an amnio at 37 weeks to check for lung maturity and possible delivery. At first she just wanted me to get to 39 weeks, but now we are more on the same page. I will be seen again in a months and then at 28 weeks I will be seen weekly! Just like with Carter.

Now comes the hard part. They did find notching on one of my uterine arteries. This can be an indicator of preeclampsia and or growth restriction down the line. BOTH of which I had with my daughter. Now it is not good if both sides show notching. Mine only is showing it on the one side. It CAN go away (which is what I am hoping for). All will tell at the 24 week scan. So now I wait. Its not bad news yet, just tricky. Emotional because I cant help but wonder if history will repeat itself? I cant help but worry.
