Lately I am so overwhelmed. On top of working part time, weekly doctor appointments, cooking, cleaning and doing other "Mommy" things, Carter was evaluated by a speech therapist via Early Intervention. He has a 40% delay and will be having weekly Speech appointments. I knew this would need to happen. Carter has a TON of words, but has trouble putting them together. So he is only saying words, no sentences or two words together. My brother had speech issues for a good portion of his early childhood and I want to nip this in the butt before he gets to school. Therapist said he is super intelligent and does not need any other type of therapy, so that is of course a relief. Carter is not in daycare and hardly around other kids so I am sure this is/was part of the problem.
This is where I feel overwhelmed. On top of all of that I am trying to get him enrolled in swim lessons for June and dance for May. Hopefully Gymnastics for last summer. I need to have him enrolled in more things. Some children don't have daycare or other siblings, never leave the house and learn to speak fine, Carter needs that extra socialization. He really LOVES people and is so caring and sweet I have no doubt he will have so much fun in whatever classes he chooses!
I am not one to sit back and be in denial of anything if my child needs help and I have NO shame in getting him help. Many if not ALL children could benefit from more socialization, or some type of therapy. When it is not caught at a young age that is when parents go on to realize their child is now in school with issues.
Due to all of this, there is no Team Cara this year for the Promise Walk. It BREAKS my heart. I have honored her the past three years, walking, donating, raising money, volunteering etc. This year there are just other responsibilities! Man its hard to be a parent of 3! That being one in heaven and one is cooking!
This will all work out, I know it will. This is the life of a mommy and wife. Isn't that the saying?

29 weeks!
Here I am! So far I have gained 23 pounds. My blood pressure is great! No signs of Preeclampsia! Cara was delivered at 30 weeks 3 days and by 26 weeks looking back I now know that I had MAJOR preeclampsia symptoms (just wish Doctors would have caught that one)
I have started my weekly scans as of last week. Emery at 28 weeks was 2lbs 5oz and in the 47 percentile!
I am dipping 1+ in my urine and will be doing a 24 hour urine next Monday. Hoping that comes back normal!
Saturday after work I did have my first swelling scare. Only one foot. Not bad, but hey I dont take chances. I called my on call doctor and because of no other preeclamptic symptoms and still within range blood pressure he decided I did not need to come in for testing! Phew. I kept an eye on it and by next morning it was gone! Its hard to know what is normal swelling and what is not, especially because with Cara it was one of my first symptoms, even before high blood pressure. With Cara I seemed to be one of those preeclamptics whos blood pressure didnt get super high until it was too late. That is another reason why someone like me who pulls 105/70 HATES when I see 130/85 that shit scares me. All that matter is as of NOW all is well!
I am happy to report that as I do feel huge only being five foot. I am on my third pregnancy with no sign of any stretch marks! Woo hoo!

Minimizing!
I have started to minimize my online life. I have removed people from Facebook as well as my Instagram. It consumes so much time of mine! Lately I have been finding myself getting upset over what other people comment on my things, or what they leave as their status. Now that I am a mom I will not tolerate or stand for judging., and I just do not have the time. Mainly... Really?! Why do I care? I do not have time to sit here and judge other mom's about a picture the posted or what they said in a status. Honestly if I don't personally know you unless you are inflicting harm on others, yourself or your child...go on with your bad self. Didnt Miss. Georgia Brown state "Ain't nobody got time fo dat!" ?
I also can't stand the facade people post on Facebook about how much money they have, how they dont have to work, how they are so good at being a parent yet will dog other people's decisions, if your that good of a parent how do you have 20 hours out of the 24 hour day to post! Dont get me wrong I post a ton! Maybe twice a day! Mainly pictures for family of my little guy, but stuff so small should not bother me. The negativity that stems from the social media world is insane and the attention people look for is over the top! I want to keep my social media (other than my blog) only close friends and family only included in that are some BLM or Preeclampsia Momma's I have met, or hold near and dear to my heart.
Lastly, I keep it real, if my house had an attempt break in, my kids puking, my husband is on workers comp due to surgery, or we are struggling financially due to a high risk pregnancy...I have no problem posting about it. I don't cover anything up or sugar coat anything. After all its my social media world ;)

Hippity Hoppity!
Easter is here! Had a fantastic Easter. My husband was sick and stayed home but Carter and I enjoyed all the fun, and even bought Dad home some goodies! We are now running on Candy overload!
Happy Easter everyone!
Here are three (4 if you include Miss Emery) Generations! How special! Even more special is that my son will remember his Great Grandparents! I am so lucky!!!
Here are some pictures of Emery's room! The flowers on the shade and on the mirrors I added! Can you believe it?! Im crafty. Sorta.
In Carter's Room we added some black out red panels! They look awesome and will go great with his big boy Pottery Barn bedding once we decide its big boy bed time. (Mommy is not ready) Here is the bonus! Since they are "blackout" he has been sleeping past 7! Ill take 730 anyday!
Last I want to leave you with some pictures Carter's talented Uncle Diego took of him!
