Whats goin on lately?
Ahhh. The big bad flu bug strikes! Took Carter to Monkey Joe's on a Monday with a girlfriend and her little ones and by Wednesday Throwing up, fever, very lethargic. Sick. Flu. Yick. It is not almost 5 days later and he is finally on the mend. In two years besides one cold and one low grade fever from teething he was never actually sick. Pretty good if you ask me! I am just so glad he is better and now praying that I do not get it!
As for me? I am now a little over 18 weeks. Blood Pressure good. Weight gain is around 12 lbs which for Carter I was over 15 lbs by 18 weeks. Heck it sure feels like more than 12! I am nerotic about my weight gain because it can make your risk for Preeclampsia higher and lord knows I do NOT want that risk any higher.
We have started the closet in her room! Our closet and our master closet we had designed by Closet by Design but after seeing what they did (not that it was not a good job because we LOVE it.) My crafty handy dandy husband has started it himself! Its slow going because of his arm he cant lift much. My Dad has been by to help out as well. We are hoping it should be done by end of February and we can pick up the baby's furniture!
We have a name! Yes yes we do! In the beginning we wanted a C name. After much thought of Cassie we decided it was just not the name for us. I loved Arden, Emmerson and Finley. My top pick was Avery. My husband wanted Remi, Desiree, or Emma. You can see how we differ here?! We ended up picking a slightly different name. Very pretty but not very common. We are ok with this because a lot of names reminded us of Cara. My husband and I did not name Cara. I was too sick and my Aunt named her. So we feel the C for a girl should start and end with her. My and her middle name Angel will still be happily carried along. We wanted this little girl to have her own letter. Its so crazy realizing I AM having another girl. The name choice was hard. Stay tuned for Pictures as I will announce in the next few weeks! :)

Starting Nursery #3.
This is the third nursery I am designing! So exciting! With the help on Etsy and Pinterest this is so much easier than 1 and 2!
This is the very first picture that inspired this nursery.
This is the very first picture that inspired this nursery.
These of course are over 300$ curtains from Anthropologie. {Hey I have good taste}I of course on the other hand have started to seek other sources for things I love that I "have to have" ESPECIALLY if from some of my favorites such as Pottery Barn, Ballard Designs, and West Elm. So I found these!
These are from a shop on Etsy. Shades and Up Co. The owner was FANTASTIC to work with and OH SO reasonable! You see...I am no DIY gal. I am in LOVE with the idea of DIY but have no desire to try. These were half the price and dont they look so adorable!? I did end up getting them in white since the baby's room is a warm tan color.
We found our baby furniture at Cribs to College. We assumed it would be over the top pricy but with a 50% off sale on the whole store. Who would go wrong? We ended up with a white crib that ONLY converts to toddler as we are planning on putting a daybed such as this in the room when she would move out of toddler. {Why waste money on a crib that converts into a full bed when we will not be using it}
We also picked out a small white changing table with almost a wanes coating on the side! Very cool!
Here is the rug I found! At 60$ minus shipping I think it would be a splurge but I have to have it!
Another great find to my room is my HomeGoods lamp and Chair!
The chair is small and reclines!! The lamp has a head that swivels (great for late night feeding) and I found some awesome felt flowers (Etsy), that my friend is doing to rhinestone and apply to the lamp for a splash of color!
Something I love is the rustic look of burlap. Lookie what I found!?
Another one of my Etsy finds! Instead the baby's name will be on it in light pink with light pink ribbon! This will be thumb tacked to the wall and hang above baby's crib!
This baby's room has a HUGE closet that is half the size of the room. It is walk in and even has a window in it! Instead of a chandelier we have decided to snag up this great steal at Ikea to hang in the baby's closet!
Its Great I know!
Found this steal at Pottery Barn for in back of Baby's door!
Perfect colors to match. Now just for the baby's name?!

Another girl
I am not quite sure if it has sunk in yet. Like FULLY sunk in. I will have another chance at bringing home a baby girl. Part of me is nervous because what if history repeats itself? I know I should not think like that but I cant help it.
I placed an order this morning on Gap/Old Navy and while I had tons of girl things in my basket I deleted a bunch. "What if"
I did this with Carter. His room was not set up until around 32-34 weeks. He arrived two weeks later. I am only 16 weeks so I am a tad nervous. However having a toddler I know I need to prepare things a bit sooner.
On the way home from our 3D ultrasound I cried because I was so happy yet Cara was our girl too. She should be here too. I would have had two girls. Sometimes I still can't believe she was taken from me.
I am not going to have a shower. Part of me is sad because I feel like every life should be celebrated. All of my children should have welcome cakes.
I am 16 weeks tomorrow. Some of my nausea has subsided and most of my food aversions. I do still have headaches but other than that no complaints. I feel like this time my stomach popped very soon but has not gotten any bigger. I was way bigger with Carter at 16 weeks.
