Cara's Memorial

Happy Birthday in Heaven Baby girl!

These are what everyone attached to the balloons we released !

Here is her exact memorial! With the help of other BLM's I put this together!

Opening Prayer- Amelia Hendryx Mommy to an angel in heaven Brenna.

“Trust in the lord with all your heart,
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make straight your paths.”
(Proverbs 3:5-6)

Silent Hope- read by Cara’s Grand Pappy

God our Father we thank you for the opportunity of bringing us together- people coming from different backgrounds, different philosophies of life- to celebrate this moment in one spirit.

Our differences lead us to find in a common experience that we share our source of unity. We are here to celebrate and remember lives that never survived the struggle of the beginning, lives that will always remain silent hopes within our hearts.

For other people those silent hopes will never have a name because they never spoke a word, they never cried or smiled; they never walked on earth.

For us those silent hopes will always be a part of our lives because they were a part of our dreams. They shared in our mystery and lived in our warmth.

We celebrate them because their presence  has made a difference in our lives and we feel differently and think differently for the mark they have left within us. We will never forget those silent hopes have died- but more importantly we will always remember that they for a short time had life.

Gift from Heaven- read by Cara’s Mommy

You were a gift sent straight from Heaven.
Given to us from God above.
We didn't know how much you would teach us
About the meaning of true love...
For true love sometimes means letting go
Of someone precious and dear.
That is what we were forced to do...
Although we wanted to keep you here
Cara, we truly believe
That God must have needed you more...
To be an Angel now,
Full of wisdom and love...
Watching over those of us who love you
From the shining stars above.

White Rose- read by Cara’s Mommy

She was only a little white rose,
A sweet little flower from birth;
God took her home to heaven,
Before she was soiled on earth.
Months have grown day by day,
It’s now a year since she went away,
Thoughts are full and hearts do weigh,
Without her here to share the day,
Time may dull the hand of fate,
Memory forever recalls the date.
It's lonely here without you,
We miss you more each day,
For life is not the same to us,
Since you were called away.
To your resting place we visit,
Place flowers there with care,
But no one knows our heartache,
When we turn and leave you there.
Please, God, forgive a silent tear,
A wish our Daughter was here,
There are others, yes we know,
But she was ours, we loved her so,
Dear God, take a message,
To our daughter in heaven above,
Tell her how much we miss her,
And give her all our love.

When God call’s little Children- Read by Cara’s Grammy

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above,
We sometimes question the wisdom of His love.
For no heartache compares with the death of one small child
Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild.
Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to His fold,
So He picks a little rosebud before it can grow old.
God knows how much we need them, so He takes but a few
To make the land of heaven more beautiful to view.
Believing this is difficult, still, somehow me must try,
The saddest word mankind knows will always be "goodbye."
So when a little child departs, we who are left behind
Must realize God loves children... Angels are hard to find.

Closing Prayer- Read by Cara’s God Father

Your child's spirit is with God.
As David said, “I shall go to him, but he will not return to me.”
Take what comfort you can that you will be with them again in eternity.
And until then, take the love you have for them
and share it with all the rest of us left here in the meadow.
